Sell With Us

Sell or pass something on

If you have pieces you think might be right for the caitiedid archive, we would genuinely like to hear about them.

What we are looking for is the same thing we look for everywhere: good fabric, honest provenance, the particular quality of having been made with care. Era matters less than construction. Label matters less than cloth. A piece with no label and extraordinary French seams will always interest us more than a labelled piece with nothing to say.

We buy pieces outright. The arrangement depends on the piece, the volume, and the conversation.

How to get in touch.

Write to us at correspondence@caitiedid.shop with photographs; ideally of the full piece, the label if there is one, and any condition details you are already aware of. Tell us what you know of its history, however little that is.

A few things worth knowing before you write:

We look at everything and respond to what interests us. We cannot always say yes, and when we cannot we will try to say why, because a piece that is not right for caitiedid may still be right for somewhere, and we would rather you know that than hear nothing.

We are particularly interested in: estate lots of antique textiles, dolls clothes, natural fibres in good condition, pieces with interesting provenance or construction, handmade or hand-finished garments, deadstock or unworn pieces, vintage baby and toddler clothing.

We are less interested in: synthetic fibres, heavily damaged pieces without redemptive qualities, pieces with no discernible history or construction interest.

If you have a larger collection to move, an estate, a wardrobe being cleared, write and tell us what you have in general terms first. We will let you know if it sounds like something worth pursuing.
